Littler signs “biggest contract in the history of darts”
Record contract for an 18-year-old: Darts champion Luke Littler signs a long-term contract that will bring him a double-digit million sum.
World champion Luke Littler has signed “the biggest contract in the history of darts,” according to his sponsor. The company “Target Darts” did not give any figures, but announced that the 18-year-old had received a “new long-term contract worth several million pounds”.
According to the British news agency PA, the collaboration is expected to bring Littler around £20 million over the next ten years. The extension of the contract is intended to reflect the exceptional performance, it said in a statement.
Luke Littler world champion again
Littler said his sponsor “believed in me from the start and I’m delighted we’ll be working together for many more years to come.” The world number one defended the title at London’s Alexandra Palace last Saturday thanks to a clear 7-1 win against the Dutchman Gian van Veen.
