West Ham United announced this Thursday the transfer of the eVenezuelan winger Keiber Lamadrid for the rest of the 2025/26 seasonfrom Deportivo La Guaira, champion of the Venezuelan Super Cup, in an operation that includes a purchase option at the end of the course.
Lamadrid, 22 years old, He will immediately join the Hammers discipline, although in a first phase he will continue with his physical conditioning process under the supervision of the London club’s medical staff. The attacker has not played official matches since the closure of the FUTVE 2025 League, at the beginning of December, although he recently began his preseason planning.
Born in Caracas, the footballer made his debut with the Venezuelan national team in November and accumulates more than 100 official matches with Deportivo La Guaira, club with which he made his professional debut at the age of 18. His performance in the last campaign earned him recognition as the Best Under-23 Player in Venezuelan football in the 2025 season.
After making his arrival at the east London club official, Lamadrid expressed his enthusiasm for this new stage in his career in statements collected by the West Ham press team. “It is an incredible opportunity to be here in this beautiful Club,” he said. “First of all, I thank God and all the people who helped me get here. I also thank my family, who always supported me. For me, it is a dream to be here.”
The young attacker also stressed his desire to grow on and off the field. “I am excited to grow as a person, as a player, and I want to do well in this club. I want to adapt as soon as possible, continue growing as a player and open doors to Venezuelan football again. Nothing is impossible,” he added.
West Ham United welcomed the Venezuelan international and wished him success in this new stage, in which he will seek to consolidate himself in English football and add minutes in the Premier League under the Claret and Blue colors.
