On June 30th, quite a large number of players will reach the end of their contracts. And some of them will certainly have no trouble finding a new club… maybe even this winter at a reduced price.
Union Saint-Gilloise
We know that USG rarely offers raises to its players, which can complicate extension negotiations. But among the core players is alone Christian Burgess out in six months. A departure this winter seems unlikely. Sofiane Boufal and Jens Teunckens are also at the end of their contracts, while Guillaume François could retire in June.
Club Bruges
Blauw-zwart has thought ahead: none of the basic players has an expiring contract. The club will have to look for goalkeepers, because… Simon Mignolet and Dani Van den Heuvel are free this summer: conversations with the former seem to have come to a standstill after many loyal years. Is there a pension in sight?

At Stayen there is a bit more work to be done: Ryotaro Itoone of the sensations of this season, will be released in six months. His departure would be a major sporting and financial loss if he left for free. The same goes for Robert Van Wesemaelan important basic player that attracts a lot of interest.
Simen Juklerod and Wolke Janssens are also coming to the end of their contracts without it being clear whether they will renew, while veteran Jo Coppens (35 years old), reserve goalkeeper, may be released.
RSC Anderlecht
This is one of the big projects for Olivier Renard. Thorgan Hazard is the player to be extended, and that seems to be happening. As for Yari Verschaeren, it seems like a discounted departure this winter or a free departure in six months, which would be a minor disaster given his trajectory.
Marco Cana is also at the end of his contract, but just like with Hazard, an agreement should be reached. Mats Rits and Joachim Imbrechts seem to be released without regret, especially considering the former’s salary.
KV Mechelen
Two players can be picked up from Mechelen in 6 months, if nothing changes: Kerim Mrabti and especially the young talent and basic player in the center of the defense Redouane Halhal (22 years). He is valued at 2 million euros and would therefore be a major loss.
Midfield mainstay Mory Konaté is also free in the next 6 months and would be an interesting signing for many clubs. It is still unknown what the club will do with Hassane Bandé, loved by the public but returning from afar, and the young Massimo Decoen, who will not get playing time.

Hakim Sahabo and Léandre Kuavita are at the end of their contracts, but what will the club do with them? The first is not convincing, the second is a mediocre player. Souleyman Doumbia will not renew, but Alessandro Calut is yet another kid from the club who may be leaving…
Just like Boli Bolingoli: three fewer left defenders, that’s quite a bit. Finally, Matteo Godfroid is also at the end of his contract: the third goalkeeper of the Rouches was not taken on training, probably a clear message.
