On Saturday, the 63-year-old man told the journalist ESPN network Adam Schefter that he had accepted a five-year contract to manage the Big Apple team.
“It’s the New York Giants,” Harbaugh said. “I am proud and honored to be the head coach of this historic franchise, and especially excited to work with the Mara and Tisch families. But above all, I can’t wait to get started [à entraîner] the excellent players on this team, to see what we can accomplish together.”
The driver spent the last 18 seasons at the helm of the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he maintained a 180-113 record and won Super Bowl XLVII.
Harbaugh was fired last week after the Ravens (8-9) missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2021 season.
For their part, the Giants finished the last campaign with a performance of 4-13. They have only won 13 games in their last three seasons. The New York club fired head coach Brian Daboll last November. Mike Kafka then served as interim head coach for the final seven games.
There was, however, a little positive for the Giants in 2025, with the arrival of two rookies on offense, quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo.
