The calendar presents a highly physically demanding start for the squad. During the first month of competition, Independiente will have to face a series of matches with little recovery time between matches. The debut against Estudiantes in Avellaneda will mark the thermometer of a team that needs to become strong at home before starting a travel route that includes stops in Rosario, Mendoza and Córdoba.
As for logistics, the most complex section appears between Date 6 and 7, where Rojo will have two consecutive matches in the province of Mendoza: first against Mendoza’s “Leprosy” in the interzonal and, just five days later, against Gimnasia y Esgrima of that city. This planning will force the coaching staff to decide if the team remains concentrated in Cuyo lands or if it makes the double trip, a key factor before facing the classic against San Lorenzo on the ninth day.
