I don’t think there is a psychological problem, today the match was going in the best way, but it’s precisely when you score that something needs to trigger in you, you have to continue to step on the accelerator and not leave the initiative to the opponent, but we’re not good at this yet; we think about containing, about moving the ball forward, but this is not how we escape difficulties and in fact, a lot of energy is wasted, certainly much more than maintaining possession and playing the ball.
When the defense has the ball at their feet we need to manage possession better and not necessarily do the most obvious thing, we certainly need to work on this, also because we have experienced players and therefore we have the right cards to be the protagonists of personality plays.
Artistic on the bench? He is doing well, as the other attackers have been doing well during the week and I have to make choices beyond the goals. Lapadula is a more usable player when the balls are directed more easily into the opponent’s area because he is a player with great experience and an eye for goal, characteristics that I wanted to put on the pitch at the end of the match.
Market? Let’s see if some player will come in who can bring something that we don’t have now, but now we have to think about working with who we are and trying to improve; at this moment some players are struggling to find the necessary serenity that allows them to make different plays with a different attitude.
Radunovic? He is blameless in scoring situations, he is a goalkeeper who will also give us a big hand on high balls, because he has great ability to exit, but I think that our difficulties certainly do not depend on the goalkeepers.”
