The year 2025 brought me a new challenge in my 15-year career as a sports journalist, and I was entrusted with the production of a new sports program. Joining forces with colleague Almantas Poikāns and cooperating with colleagues from different departments in the “Delfi” portal’s editorial office, “D sector” was created, which was visited by several current and former Latvian sports stars during the past year. They shared interesting stories about their careers in professional sports, and marking the end of the first year of the program, I collected the stories that were vividly remembered and attracted the greatest interest of the audience.
