The Elba association has become the Coni Centre. Here are all the news and the objectives to be achieved
MARCIANA — “On November 30th, the usual lunch of “A year together” took place in Pomonte, prepared by the “Il Calello” Association, which we thank for its immense hospitality, first and foremost the president Lauro Lorenzi. Early lunch in the morning from the 18 MT indoor social competition in the beautiful Pomonte gym, in which many archers from the smallest to the largest participated and with various types of bow, from the historic, longbow, naked bow, Olympic bow and compound bow”.
Patrizio Bolano, president of the Archi del Grande Falco, made this known in a note.
“During the excellent lunch – continues Bolano – we were able to enjoy photos and videos collected over the year which showed the path that our group has taken, with many podiums both in the regional competitions organized by us in Elba with a lot of commitment, such as the summer ones in the Procchio shooting range up to the recent historical medieval competition in Rio Elba, and all the competitions in which we have participated throughout Italy from north to south throughout the year, of qualifications and podiums in Championships and Trophies Very important Fitarco and Lam national teams, from the historical to the Olympic (the latter which only we teach in Elba), up to the Italian 3d Fitarco Championships”.
“All this meant that 2025 was truly a special year for all archery categories and divisions. – adds Bolano – During the meeting we also remembered how another important step that positively marked 2025 for our group was the fact of becoming the “Fitarco Youth Centre” which is only possible with a specific number of young people and which allows, however, having a specialized technician for young people within the association, to be able to participate in team competitions of qualifications for the important Italian Fitarco Cup. All the associations that have become Youth Centers highlight themselves and earn invitations to the regional meetings, which we often participate in, within the “Coni Olympic Preparation Centre” in Tirrenia and the young people are thus followed within the various projects by high-level national technicians, who are proactive in the growth of our kids and also very educational for us technicians”.
“Recently – adds Bolano – two of our young people have also been included in the “Alfa” and “Fenice” projects which clearly include the Olympic arch but also the Compound as the latter has been included in the Olympics. This is another very important recognition. Returning to the work of our archers but above all of the boys, they have all done a year of high level work, obtaining excellent results with many regional and three national podiums such as Filippo Peria’s gold at the Trofeo Pinocchio Nazionale Fitarco in Merano and the gold in the mix team under 20 category in the 3d Fitarco di Polino by Azzurra Li Calzi and Flavio Manca and it will be everyone’s task to raise the bar that will lead us to even more appetizing goals, both in the regional and national championships, both team and individual and in all divisions and categories from the historical bow and longbow championship, to the championships which include the Olympic, naked, instinctive and compound bow”.
“In 2025 we also became the Coni Center, the only one on Elba, also adding another sport, namely baseball, softball and baseball 5. The Coni Center is the national Coni project that redesigns the way of playing sports during the afternoon. Not just one sport, but many sporting activities that young people can discover and practice by broadening what their personal motor skills are and refining the specific technical gestures relating to the different disciplines involved”, continues Bolano.
“Come on guys, this is the beginning, let’s get going and we will find ourselves at the end of the road with something definitely gained, so good luck now for all these qualifying races for the various championships that you are doing every week with so much commitment and sacrifice. Strength and honor and long life to the great Falco!”, concludes Bolano.
