2026 Spring Festival: Cross-Border Travel Guide

The visual communication system has been comprehensively implemented.

From mid-January 2026, an atmosphere of preparation was noticeable throughout the Lao Cai district. According to the plan of the Lao Cai District People’s Committee, a visual propaganda system with banners and slogans in Vietnamese and Chinese was implemented in key areas such as Lao Cai International Border Crossing, Nguyen Hue Street, Coc Lieu Bridge and Hoang Lien Street.

The slogans “Friendly Neighborhood, Comprehensive Cooperation, Long-term Stability, Looking to the Future” are prominently displayed along the main streets, reflecting the spirit of hospitality and strengthening solidarity between the people of the two border regions.

We developed early and proactive plans, especially for the badminton friendly matches at the provincial multi-purpose hall in the Cam Duong district. There were three competition categories: men’s doubles, mixed doubles and women’s doubles, in which youth from Lao Cai and Chau Hong Ha took part.

Mr. Hoang Manh Linh, deputy secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Youth Association, said

In addition, the Provincial Youth Association, in collaboration with the Association of Young Entrepreneurs, has organized a program to meet and exchange experiences between young entrepreneurs from both sides. Logistics, translation services and the mobilization of over 500 youth association members to support the event have already been completed to create a lively atmosphere and promote friendship.

The cultural program on the evening of February 2nd in Lao Cai promises to be a true festival of music and light. Currently, singers and actors from the Lao Cai Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe are busy rehearsing. Numerous performances that showcase Vietnam’s rich cultural identity and harmoniously blend with the host country’s culture have already been staged and performed.
