Maksim Shirokovs, who continues his hockey career and currently represents the OHL club Kyiv “Capitals”, has been boxing since childhood, but this was his debut fight. “I want to enjoy the feeling as it is – to be one-on-one in such an open battle. I have wanted to enjoy it since I was young, and this time it has happened,” Shirokovs said even before the battle, whose potential opponents could be other basketball players – Kristaps Walters or Armands Škēle.
