FFBB Open Gym XXL: Basketball Training

They were born between 2010 and 2013, measure between 1.80 m and 1.92 m for young girls, between 1.93 m and 2.02 m for young boys and worked on their range during an open gym focused on individual development in Vichy.

The central educational objective of the camp is the individual development of tall players. The program focuses on perfecting playing relationships between the inside and outside positions. Particular emphasis is placed on the technical specificities and the challenges that these interactions represent for players with “large sizes” indoor or outdoor, in order to adapt the skills to their morphology.

12 girls and 10 boys from the U13 to U16 categories benefited from 5 days of training in the Creps de Vichy facilities, fully adapted to welcome players and support staff in a quality environment.

Beyond the technical aspect, the camp raised awareness among participants, particularly those with later physical maturity, of the diversity of paths leading to high level. To illustrate this point, two video conferences were organized with professional players Clémentine Samson and Bastien Vautier, who shared their experiences and explained their trajectories.
