CAPANNORI – The 2025 sports season of DRK Baseball Capannori ended with applause and smiles. The traditional end-of-year party, held last weekend at the Frantoio Sociale del Compitese premises, brought together over 130 participants including athletes, families and technical and managerial staff to celebrate a year lived in the name of growth and passion for beat and run.
The balance drawn by the management during the event is extremely positive. We didn’t just talk about numbers and rankings, but above all about the consolidation of the youth sector, the true beating heart of the club. The boys demonstrated on the diamond not only technical progress, but a strong team spirit that embodies the values promoted by DRK since its foundation.
The party was punctuated by several significant moments, including the awards ceremony for each category:
For the Under 12 Category: Lorenzo Porto was the best hitter, Giorgio Sanson the best pitcher and Carlo Favilla MVP of the season. For the Under 15 Category Lorenzo Giuntoli was the best hitter, Federico Bianchi was the best pitcher and Diego Ceballos was the MVP. They were rewarded for having best embodied the Spirit of the club both on and off the pitch Elia Sposito and Luca Martini.
Also present was Capannori’s sports councilor Gaetano Ceccarelli who thanked the club, the coaches and the families for their constant support, underlining how the DRK has become a sporting and social point of reference for the Capannori area.
“This celebration is a moment in which we say goodbye to the concluded season and look at the one that is coming” declared DRK president Giancarlo Mannini “today we presented the new teams for the 2026 Championship, with the aim of further expanding the base of practitioners and improving ourselves to offer an increasingly high-quality sporting experience.
In 2026, Drk is preparing to take the field with various teams in their respective championships and tournaments: Under 12 and Under 15, to which is added a large mini-baseball academy and announces the debut of the Under 18 team in the C series.
The appointment is therefore next year, with the desire to bat and run towards home plate again.
