Eintracht Frankfurt secures their third winter entry. Younes Ebnoutalib decided the transfer poker in favor of the SGE.
Frankfurt – Eintracht Frankfurt has prevailed in the transfer poker for Younes Ebnoutalib against VfL Wolfsburg and many European teams. The SV Elversberg striker will join the Hessians if the medical check is successful. According to Bild, the Hessians will pay a base amount of eight million euros and a bonus of two million euros. Sky also reports on the upcoming transfer.
Sports director Markus Krösche outdoes Pirmin Schwegler, who became Wolfsburg’s new manager in mid-December. It is an extremely important transfer for Frankfurt. Since the injury-related absences of Jonathan Burkardt and Michy Batshuayi, Eintracht has had a lot of trouble in attack. At best, Krösche wanted to present a replacement at the start of preparations on January 2, 2026.
Eintracht convinced Ebnoutalib
The Frankfurt boss seems to have succeeded. Krösche and coach Dino Toppmöller convinced Ebnoutalib to move to Eintracht – sportily and emotionally. The 22-year-old impresses with his athleticism, mobility and goal threat. Ebnoutalib has developed outstandingly in Saarland. Twelve months ago he played for fourth division club FC Gießen. Now the leading scorer in the second division with twelve goals is about to move to Frankfurt for the Champions League club.

Should Eintracht qualify for the playoffs, Ebnoutalib can take part. For him, however, the move back home is also a matter of the heart. He took his first steps in the Kalbach and Heddernheim districts. This was followed by the jump to RW Frankfurt and Wehen Wiesbaden. After another two seasons at Rot-Weiss Frankfurt, he continued in Italy at Perugia.
After six months in the U19, Ebnoutalib ended up in a dead end. It was ex-Eintracht professional Daniyel Cimen who brought him to Giessen. It quickly became clear to the Central Hesse coach at the time that Ebnoutalib would probably not be around for long. 20 regional league games and eight goal participations later, Elversberg manager Ole Book came knocking.
Ebnoutalib is about to make a huge career leap. According to Sky, his contract will run until 2031. It is already one of the most exciting deals of the upcoming winter transfer period. Eintracht will be challenged directly from January 9th (against Borussia Dortmund). Seven games are scheduled for the first month of the new year. Ebnoutalib will therefore have great opportunities for match practice.
