This Friday the delivery ceremony of the State Sports Award 2025an event led by the governor Manolo Jimenez Salinasin which athletes, coaches and promoters who had a historic year in national and international competitions were recognized.
During his message, the state leader highlighted the value of collective effort and the impact of sport on the identity of the entity.
“With a very emotional event we presented the 2025 State Sports Award, with which we recognize our athletes, coaches and sports promoters.

“Your effort, discipline and achievements raise the name of our State very high. Congratulations to all the winners, as well as their families and coaches. Thank you for inspiring us and for showing that when you work as a team, Coahuila succeeds”expressed Jimenez Salinas.
The highest recognition as Absolute Athlete was awarded to the goalkeeper from Monclova, Sebastián García Floreswho closed a 2025 outstanding with medals in first-level settings.
Among his main achievements are the individual silver in the Central Florida World Cupsilver in mixed teams in the Chengdu World Games and bronze in mixed teams in the World Archery Championships in Gwangju, South Koreain addition to national university and team titles.
In the category of Absolute Trainerthe award went to Mario Alejandro Carranza Rodríguezrecognized for his role in the growth of rugby in Coahuiladiscipline with which he achieved a three-time championship in the Conade National Olympiad and projected several athletes to national teams.
The ceremony also gave a central place to inclusive sport. The parathlete Hilario Gerardo Ruiz Reyes was recognized after conquering two gold medals in speed tests in the Conade 2025 National Paralympics.
While the team Soccer Bats Lagoonmade up of young people with visual disabilities Keepreceived the award in Team Sport after obtaining the national silver medal and establishing itself as one of the best defenses in the tournament.
In other categories, it was recognized Susana Garcia Flores as Best Child-Youth Athlete for his results in archery within the National Olympiad; a Olivia Contreras Valdesin Master Athletefor her career as a historical promoter of women’s softball; already Ramatiz Arellano Trueba in the field of Promotion and Promotion of Sportsfor his work in the development of table tennis in the state.
Likewise, special mentions were given to Angela Ruiz Rosalestop Coahuila medalist of the Conade National Olympiad 2025 con four gold and one bronzein addition to outstanding athletes in martial arts, table tennis and adapted sports, who placed Coahuila among the most competitive entities in the country.
The event was attended by state and municipal authorities, including the president of the Governing Board of the State Congress, Luz Elena Morales Núñezmayors of different municipalities, representatives of the educational sector and directors of the State Sports Instituteas its owner, Antonio Cepeda Licónwho witnessed these recognitions.
