« In our time, we didn’t have this association: we could have complained as much as we wanted, but no one listened to us. Today, however, it exists. That’s what I don’t understand about players. They have a union started by some tennis players, names like Novak Djokovic or Basque Pospissiland thanks to them, the possibility of negotiating with tournaments. However, they do not use it;
they just complain in the press in interviews, etc. I find that strange. When a player complains, I say to myself: “Okay, you can change things. It’s in your hands. It’s not in the hands of the tournaments or the circuit, but in yours. Why don’t you do it?” That’s what I think”
