Persib & Dewa United: Asian Ambitions to Lift Liga 1 Ranking

PERSIB Bandung and Dewa United are expected to make sweet achievements in competing at the Asian level. This is necessary to boost the league ranking.

This news was conveyed by the Chief Marketing Officer of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (I.League), Budiman Dalimunthe. The achievements of these two clubs can boost the ranking of the Indonesian League on the Asian stage, especially Southeast Asia.

1. Persib Bandung and Dewa United

This season, Indonesia sent two club representatives to Asian competitions. Persib Bandung as champions of League 1 2024-2025 competed in the AFC Champions League (ACL) Two, while Dewa United as runners-up last season competed in the AFC Challenge League.

So far, both teams have appeared quite promising in these two competitions. Maung Bandung – Persib’s nickname – managed to top the Group G standings with a collection of seven points from three matches.

Meanwhile, Dewa United sits at the top of Group E. They won four points from two matches.
