The crisp autumn air in calabria recently played host to the thrilling opening of the indoor archery season, and the archery world is buzzing about the exceptional performance by the Arcieri Club Lido. held in the well-organized sports hall in Giordanello, Spezzano della Sila, the event saw athletes from across the region compete, but it was the Arcieri Club Lido, under the keen eye of Mister Poerio Pierà Edoardo and with crucial technical support from Gulia Sabrina, that truly stole the show.
With a squad of seven dedicated athletes, the club returned home with an impressive haul of seven medals – a testament to their rigorous training and competitive spirit. Six of these were gleaming gold, complemented by a strong silver, setting a high bar for the rest of the indoor season.
Olympic Division Sees Rising Stars Shine
In the highly competitive Olympic division, the future of archery looks shining. francesco Poerio pierà delivered a stellar performance, clinching the gold medal in the junior class with an outstanding score of 586 points. This victory is particularly noteworthy, especially considering his recent success in securing an Italian title in outdoor competitions, showcasing his consistent ability to perform at the highest level.
Adding to the club’s success in the Olympic division,Serafino Valentino secured a well-deserved silver medal in the Master class,demonstrating the depth of talent within the Arcieri Club Lido across different age categories.
Compound division: A Family Affair and Emerging Talent
The compound division was another arena where the Arcieri Club Lido showcased their prowess. Anastasia Poerio Pierà continued her winning streak,capturing gold in the senior class.Her performance highlights the dedication and skill required to excel in this precision-focused discipline.
