Newly joined as a specially designated player for the 2025-26 season
Kodama Junior (2nd year in the Department of Health and Sports Management, graduated from Fukuoka Daiichi High School), a member of the boys’ basketball club in Nihon Keizai University (Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President: Tsuzuki Akisuka), has reached a contract agreement with the B1 league, Sanen Neo Phoenix, for the 2025-26 season.
Kodama Junior won the Best Player Award at the All-Nihon University Basketball Rookie Tournament (Revenge Intercollegiate Championship) hosted by the All-Nihon University Basketball Federation held in July this year. He made a major contribution to the great achievement of winning national championships by universities outside the Kanto region, the first time since the federation was established. While still a member of our university, he will continue to participate in B League matches.

Director Katagiri has received strict but loving guidance from the beginning of his school, and has grown not only in terms of technicality but also in terms of humanity. And the presence of my teammates who have worked hard together is my most powerful strength for me. We will be taking on a new stage, but we will do our best to repay you with the results, so we hope you will continue to look after us warmly in the future.
