Kodama Junior (2nd year in the Department of Health and Sports Management, graduated from Fukuoka Daiichi High School), a member of the boys’ basketball club in Nihon Keizai University (Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President: Tsuzuki Akisuka), has reached a contract agreement with the B1 league, Sanen Neo Phoenix, for the 2025-26 season.

Kodama Junior won the Best Player Award at the All-Nihon University Basketball Rookie Tournament (Revenge Intercollegiate Championship) hosted by the All-Nihon University Basketball Federation held in July this year. Katagiri Akimitsu’s comments Thank you for your continued support of the Nihon Keizai University Men’s Basketball Club.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those involved in Kitago, including Sanen Neo Phoenix, for accepting the new challenges of Kodama Junior at our university. We discussed many times with him about trying to become a professional. Among them, Sanen Neo Phoenix’s thoughts on Junior and thoughts about it, and I think the deciding factor was the desire to support her with all her might.

I look forward to seeing him grow and contribute to the team’s victory and become a successful All-Japan player in the future. And to all the fans, we would like to ask for your warm support to Kodama Junior.
