– First and foremost, we wanted to keep as many people as possible from the team that left SHL, but not all and some we knew they would be impossible to keep. This meant that we were a little fat and waited for the last of players who could not decide. We did not end up in trouble but in the end we felt that “how long do we dare to wait?”. You got some players on the table and at the same time felt “will we lose it now?”. Then it started to release a little in the end.
– We had the strategy that we wanted players who were prepared to do the job, who were revenge and who were in SHL or Finland who may have had a slightly heavier season and want revenge to show that they belong to the highest peak. And have players who played in the Allsvenskan and know what league it is. It is a damn tough league to play in. Players who were familiar with the league would be prioritized, that was part of the strategy.

Modo is looking for a new back, Gradin says in the pod.
– To be honest, it’s probably zero kronor. As a club we have a plan to look at how it will go. Right now I have no salary space over. The club is in a venture to try to get back and everyone is clear about how we should work forward, he says.
