Lotte Keukelaar: Ajax to Real Madrid Record Transfer

Keukelaar was still under contract with Ajax until mid -2027 and leaves immediately for a record amount for Dutch women’s football to Madrid. Ajax has not announced the amount of the transfer fee.

The international transfer record was established earlier this month with the transition from the French midfielder Grace Geyoro from Paris Saint-Germain to the London City Lionesses. This involves an amount of 1.65 million euros.

With Real Madrid now against FC Twente

Keukelaar has played for Ajax since 2021 and, after two years, flowed from the talent team to the first team. She played 55 times for Ajax and played three times for the Orange. With Real Madrid she meets FC Twente in the Champions League.

Ajax did not see the least abroad this summer: Lily Yohannes (Ol Lyonnes), Milicia Keijzer (AC Milan), Kay-Lee de Sanders (AC Milan), Isa Kardinal (London City Lionesses) and Rosa van Gool (Everton) already preceded Keukelaar.

Keukelaar and Oranje

Keukelaar has been released for the Netherlands -15 and the Netherlands -17 since 2021. A year later she made the switch to the Netherlands -19. With the Netherlands -19, Keukelaar came out at several final tournaments, including the European Championship 2024 in Lithuania, in which she reached the final with her country that was lost against Spain after extension.

In October 2024, Keukelaar debuted in the selection of the Dutch national team. On October 25, 2024, she made her basic debut by starting in the base in a friendly match against Indonesia. She immediately scored two goals and gave two assists, with which Keukelaar contributed to the Dutch record victory of 15-0 in the Asian country.
