FC Bayern Basketball brought Serbian playmaker Stefan Jovic back to Munich. The 34-year-old joins the German champion of coach Gordon Herbert for the new season. Jovic already played for Bayern from 2017 to 2019 and won two championships and the trophy at the time.
The obligation is a reaction to the serious violation of Rokas Jokubaitis. The newcomer from Lithuania had suffered a “serious ligament injury in the left knee” and is at least six months after an operation.
“It is no secret that we had to react to the serious violation of Roka’s jokubaitis and that this is a very difficult undertaking so late in summer,” said sports director Dragan Tarlac. “We are all the more pleased to be able to win an experienced and well -known point in Stefan for us, which in our opinion fits perfectly into our system.”
Jovic was last under contract with the Valencia Basketball Club for two years, before that he was accrued for Basket Saragossa, Panathinaikos Athens and BK Chimki. In the Euroleague he is now going into his ninth season. In 154 games so far, the 1.96 meter tall Guard scored an average of 6.3 points and 4.2 assists.
