National judo goes for Olympic points to Grand Slam in Tokyo

MORELIA, Mich., December 3, 2022.- This weekend, the best judokas in the world gather for the last match of the competitive season: the Grand Slam of the International Judo Federation (IJF, for its acronym in English) that will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Japan, an event that will distribute points in the Olympic classification ranking, in a process that began at the end of June.

According to Conade, with the support of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE), Mexico will attend with a group of five selected, three women and two men, who will seek not only the titles of the division, but also the points, which will be worth gold when the time comes to determine the list of participants for Paris 2024.
