Aleksander Ceferin, Fernando Gomes, João Paulo Correia and PSG president were present this morning
Football Talks has already started, a forum for reflection on football and which brings together, in Cidade do Futebol, many names known to fans. In the opening session Aleksander Ceferin, president of UEFA, João Paulo Correia, secretary of State for Youth and Sports, and Fernando Gomes took the floor, with the FPF president pointing to the future of football in Portugal. The official referred essentially to the FPF’s 2030 plan, pointing out desires for improvement in the field of technology, in women’s football and in various structural areas. Goals that “can only be achieved with the help of all stakeholders”, he underlined. Also during the morning, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG, participated in the panel entitled “the future of football”. In the two days, 19 thematic panels will be held plus five individual communications, with a total of around one hundred participants (between speakers and moderators). Today, in the early afternoon, the panel on Technology/Business/Geography of Amateur Competitions will discuss ‘How Technology will Improve the Game’, a session moderated by Sérgio Krithinas, Deputy Director of Record. Tomorrow, the last lecture will be given by Jürgen Klopp and is dedicated to Portuguese Football, which the Liverpool coach follows. The conclusions of the Football Talks will be in charge of José Couceiro, vice-president of the FPF, and Ana Catarina Mendes, Deputy Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, will make the closing session, at 18:00. Yesterday, football began to be debated with Rúben Neves (Wolverhampton) and Dolores Silva (Sp. Braga) answering questions from young Portuguese internationals.
