Panama, next venue for international baseball showcase in 2022

A total of four mega showcase events for junior players Baseball prospects will be based in Panama during 2022, confirmed the Showcase Top Premium company.

The events, known as showcases, in English, will take place in the cities of Panama and Aguadulce, where prospective players from Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Panama will be concentrated.

Ángel Méndez, Operations Manager, confirmed that the events will take place in the Rod Carew National Stadium from March 31 to April 3 and from August 25 to 28, while at the José Remon Cantera Stadium, in Aguadulce, they will take place from June 27 to 30 and from October 20 to 23.

Thanks to the success of the first showcase that took place in October of last year, in Aguadulce, we have managed to attract the attention of important academies based in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the Netherlands, with whom we have started conversations to guarantee their participation in the Panama showcases during 2022”, Méndez advanced.

The company Showcase Top Premium organized the first large-scale showcase event in Panama which attracted the physical presence of 28 representatives of the Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, which sent around 17 zone chiefs and Directors.

In said event, they were able to close the pre-agreements of the young people from Cocles, Juan Diego Rosas, with the Toronto Blue Jays team; and Emmanuel Vargas, with the New York Yankees.

“It was a historic event that was held for the first time in Panama and our mission is to turn the Isthmus into the hub of international showcases. That is why we have planned an ambitious calendar of events for 2022”, explained the CEO of Showcase Top Premium, Max Estrada.
