The Subsecretariat of Sports of the Province of Buenos Aires announced this Friday the extension of the registration to the Buenos Aires Games 2021 until June 7.
The scheduled deadline was Monday, May 31. However, due to the new provision, those who have not yet registered in sports and cultural disciplines have one more week of extension.
Youth between 12 and 18 years old, people with disabilities over 12, adults over 60 and “university students” between 18 and 59 can participate in the 30th edition, a category that was added and makes the event suitable for all ages. . The Local Stage will be in June and July; the Regional in August; and the Final between September and November, although the schedule will depend on the development of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unlike last year when only “electronic sports” were available for Covid-19, there are traditional disciplines whose tournaments will be on court. Juniors have aquathlon, chess, athletics, badminton, 3 × 3 basketball, beach volleyball, 3 × 3 cestoball, soccer-tennis, swimming, paddle tennis, ball, skate, tennis, table tennis, karting, golf and rowing. The “university students”, meanwhile, have aquathlon, chess, 3 × 3 basketball, beach volleyball, soccer-tennis, swimming, paddle tennis, skateboarding, tennis and table tennis.
In return, there are many virtual offers for all categories. In free style sports soccer (for people with disabilities -PCD- and older adults), taekwondo (youth and PCD), pop choreography (adults), judo (youth) and electronic (Fortnite, League of Legends, Clash Royale and Fifa).
In addition, there will be virtual competitions but with its final stage in person in Mar del Plata: free style football (youth and university students); artistic gymnastics and artistic skate.

In culture, all disciplines will be remote, as in 2020. There is drawing, painting, three-dimensional object, photography, video minute and folk dance for all divisions; dance, story and poetry for youth and adults; vocal soloist for PCD and adults; malambo and oral narration for PCD; and mural and circus arts for youth.
The virtual competitions but with their in-person Final Stage in Mar del Plata will be freestyle rap, vocal soloist and stand-up for youth and university students; and malambo (juveniles).
