Sunderland “launches” two new offers for the best targets while Phil Parkinson makes his move

Black cats are still on the market for new additions, with less than a week of the transfer window now left.

The Rangers midfielder is one of the central players Parkinson observed this month, with the Sunderland chief confirming earlier this week that an agreement was not dead.

And Football Insider says the Black Cats have submitted a second improved offer for Docherty in an attempt to sign the 23-year-old with a mid-season loan.

    Charlton Athletic is also passionate.

Another option in the middle of the park is Norburn, which captains League One rivals Shrewsbury Town.

Parkinson has admitted that he is monitoring the international Grenada, and Football Insider claims that the Black Cats offered Will Grigg to the Shrews in an attempt to sweeten the deal, having found a rate difficult to agree on.

Boyce was an offensive target for Sunderland this month, but interest has cooled since the addition of Kyle Lafferty.

And Boyce has now signed a permanent move to the Scottish Hearts top – with Nigel Clough admitting that Burton has had to cash in on the attacker’s contract which will expire in the summer.

The striker from the city of Bristol is still expected to get a loan move this month, but he is unlikely to leave before the Robins attack their reinforcements.
