American Football: Corner Canyon Chargers win to second consecutive title against American Fork Cavemen, 49-14

SALT LAKE CITY – For the second year in a row, but this time in a higher ranking, the Corner Canyon Chargers are state champions.

A year after winning the title 5A, the Chargers won their 49-14 victory over Fork Cavemen of the United States on Friday in the 6A championship game at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

Corner Canyon scored 21 points in the second quarter, including two touchdowns in less than three minutes, earning a 28-7 advantage at half-time.

Quarterback Cole Hagen of the Chargers finished with four touchdowns to lead the winning group.
