Mohammed Salah, the Liverpool player, sent a message to his son, Makkah, through his official Facebook account for social networking.
Salah won the Golden Boot award as the Premier League's top scorer during the season, the second consecutive year after he was crowned last year.
"Yes, I know we have one at home, but this is new," he wrote in his letter.
Salah scored top scorer with 22 goals, sharing the award with his Senegalese counterpart Sadio Mani and Arsenal striker Jaime Pierre Emeric Obamyang.
The Premier League season ended this afternoon, Sunday, with Liverpool finishing second behind Manchester City.
