At different points this season, Manchester United is dying, dead, buried the way back, back again, and lost in the desert. It is appropriate, therefore, that the United end of Saturday reached the lowest point of the season finally: 4-0 lost for Everton, the worst defeat the United States had on the Toffees in the club's history.
Not only did United arrive in Goodison Park and got hold of him. The great thing, sociable about soccer is that anyone can guess anyone else one day, even with a historical score. What is worrying is that United has always looked at the loss and similarity of José Mourinho, when the team seemed to have finally moved.
Take the second goal on Sunday, when Nemanja Matić decided to do the best thing to do with Gylfi Sigurðsson, a slow dribbler with powerful shooting, to return ten yards and let him rip down with David de Gea:
With a fairness of de Gea, which had a terrible season, three of the four Sunday goals could not be stopped. For example, you can't blame for Gea to put this complete perfect traffic with Lucas Digne's backdrop:
United have been shaky defensive all season, however, even during the midseason turnaround. (They have now reached 48 goals in the league play, that is the largest ever taken by the United States in the Premier League.) I am sorry with the defense personnel, only tactics can rely on it. so much to do on paper over that huge amount of cracks. Therefore, the targets allowed by United for Everton are more likely than the chances they did not create for themselves.
Despite the fact that the match was only 13 minutes, United took only seven full shots all day, compared to Everton's 15. The Red Devils only managed to get one shot and did not go. it came to the 86th minute. These are terrible figures for any staff, and even more staff with a range of talented United attackers.
Creating an attack on Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford should not be as difficult as creating opportunities. He looked at Ole Gunnar Solskjær's deal with the Mourinho era attacks by releasing the reins, but the arrangement is not fixed. The first half of the Solskjær period was marked with many goals and fun and freedom and won. But since Solskjær succeeded in achieving achievement – the victory of relay over PSG with progress in the fourth quarter of the Champions – the team is looking weak, restricted, ruthless in front of the target, and breaking. In the eight matches from the PSG comeback, United once, they did not keep a clean sheet, and scored more than one goal in a game twice.
Solskjær problem is not, just because the problem was not really Mourinho previously. The fundamental issue of the United States is that the roster is not so good. From the winner to the defense, the United States has shaving holes that need to be addressed if the team is to regain its past glory for more than one or two months.
Even the most positive United fans must believe that the team must half of the XI starts at least to reform. The strongest protection is; in an ideal world, the club would start the next season with a completely new front line. Central Park is a little brighter, but not much. Apart from Paul Pogba – not a problem, although it could be one if he decided to leave this summer rather than absorb him into the Europa League again – and Scott McTominay, who does not improve quickly, presents the park or even ba t should be voluntarily accepted by the club. In their attack, he is feeling more and more as Lukaku is not well isolated for the initial spot, and at least one will be welcomed and maybe even two forward in the world so that United won't depend so much that green pair of Rashford and Martial.
United will emerge again – there is no doubt about that. The way in which European soccer is set up means that the bank buys little money in the bank that always buys a spot in the minority or later. What Solskjær and vice chairman executive Ed Woodward need to do to stop roosts when they open the check book. United has spent almost every other club in Europe since Mr Alex Ferguson finished in 2013, and shows little to him. A long list of clubs (Ángel Di María, Memphis Depay, Juan Mata, Alexis Sánchez, Lukaku, Fred, Henrikh Mkhitaryan) is truly what kept the most popular club in the world down for half a century. The only salvation of the United States is to reverse this trend.
Solskjær is certainly not the best man to return a job, and he might not be able to do it at all. However, over a few last minute play for Mauricio Pochettino, Solskjær will sit in the chair of the manager during the US's next transfer window. He and United market will do more than a 4-0 loss for the Toffees in April, which is what sets the path for the club into the future than the stability of the United season.
