William Nylander played his first game in 225 days and looked like you might expect.

The 22-year-old logged 12-and-a-half quiet minutes in the Leaf's overtime loss to Detroit on Thursday night. He did not hit the scoresheet, had both his attempts to shoot blocked, saw his team pummeled in possession when he was out there and did not see the ice at all for the back of the third period or OT.

Nylander, who signed with the Leafs Last Weekend, what suiting up in a real game for the first time since the Leafs dropped Game 7 in Boston last April.

Nylander had not even gotten a practice yet, after the team broke down on the way back from Buffalo on Tuesday night. He was coming off a pretty turbulent few days of his own.
