Cristiano ronaldo has celebrated his long-awaited goal debut in Italian Serie A. Against US Sassuolo Calcio scored twice on Sunday (50th / 65th minute) for his new club Juventus Turin. Shortly before the end, however, Juve had to accept the first goal by Khouma Babacar, so that it was at the end 2: 1 (0: 0) for the record champions.
After three goalless games, the expectations of Ronaldo were enormous. Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri had been optimistic in the run-up to the game against Kevin-Prince Boateng's new club that this would be a Portuguese goal.
Ronaldo had moved from Real Madrid to Juventus before the season for 112 million euros. The hopes are high that the 33-year-old helps Juve to Champions League title and of course the eighth championship title in series.
The German international Emre Can was there until the 71th minute and gave the template for Ronaldo's second goal. Team colleague Sami Khedira, who extended his contract to 2021 during the week, played the entire game through. In injury time, the former Bayern player Douglas Costa got the red card because he spat after a foul in the direction of Sassuolo player Federico Di Francesco.
With a maximum yield of twelve points, the Turin top the table in front of SSC Napoli. Sassuolo is in third place with seven points.
