Hello, this is Mitsunori Seino, the director of Seino Acupuncture and Osteopathic Clinic, located in front of Chofu Station, about 15 minutes from Shinjuku Station on the Keio Line. In front of Chofu Station on the Keio Line, our clinic offers acupuncture and moxibustion treatment, blood stasis treatment (blood stasis absorption pressure treatment, canning treatment, thoracic treatment, etc.), manual treatment (judo treatment, massaging treatment, etc.), remedial treatment (yoga therapy, etc.). We provide treatment based on oriental medicine such as treatment and lifestyle guidance) based on the latest medicine and cutting-edge treatment technology. A 3-minute walk from Higashi-Fuchu Station on the Keio Line, there is a branch clinic, Kiyono Acupuncture and Osteopathic Clinic Fuchu Center.

Traditional Japanese medicine was called ‘Hondo’ in the Edo period, but since modern medicine was introduced in the Meiji period, ‘Hondo’ came to be called ‘Kampo’. “Kampo” refers to acupuncture and moxibustion treatment, blood stasis treatment, judo reduction treatment, medicinal herb (Chinese medicine) treatment, anma treatment, diet (life guidance), exercise therapy (yoga treatment), etc.

With the aim of making acupuncture and moxibustion a national medicine, I am conducting research with people from various universities and medical institutions in Japan, such as the University of Tokyo, Waseda University, and Juntendo University. Based on my experience as a visiting professor at Meiji International Medical University, as a specially invited lecturer at Waseda University, and at various universities and academic societies, I am working to make patients and the general public aware of the wonders of oriental medicine.

September 15, 2022 (Thursday) JIJICO published a column titled “Does sleeping in a dark bedroom make you feel unwell? What is the ideal bedroom environment?” This is the 37th column. I wrote a story about how sleeping facing north makes bedwetting easier. I also write about the state of the bedroom necessary to maintain good health. Since September 2019, I have written 36 columns at a pace of about one per month. It’s been 4 years since September 2022 this month. For the purpose of enlightenment of oriental medicine and the spread of oriental medicine, I am writing continuously with the thought that I should not forget my original intention.

I would like as many people as possible to know the wisdom of oriental medicine.
