Houston (USA), (EFE) .- The rookie runner of the Washington Redskins, Derrius Guice, broke the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL, for its acronym in English) and will miss the entire season of 2018-19 , according to the information offered by the team.
Guice, 21, injured his left knee at the end of the first quarter during the pre-season opener he played last night against the New England Patriots and lost 17-26.
Trained at the Louisiana State University (LSU), Guice was selected in the second round of the collegiate draw and in his debut as a professional he contributed 19 yards on six carries before leaving the field.
His partner Chris Thompson said on Twitter that the news that Guice would miss all season hit him hard.
RB Derrius Guice and TE Manasseh Garner will miss the 2018 season due to ACL long-winded referees game at the New England Patriots. Both players are expected to make a full recovery and are looking forward to playing in 2019.

"I had a hard time trying to hold back the tears this morning when I received the news. We had something great in our room, but you know that the team will help you every step of the way, brother. Get ready and prepare for next year's competition, "wrote Thompson.
Guice injured his left knee at LSU last season, but only one game was lost.
The new Redskins player made a very good impression on the rest of his new Redskins teammates, including backup quarterback Colt McCoy, who said Guice has been "fun to watch" and is a "great player."
Despite reaching the college draw as a little "responsible" player, the Redskins have been very satisfied with their behavior and immediately has also become one of the favorite players of local fans.
