P2 F1 Belgian GP 2020 Results – Being the Fastest, Max Verstappen Breaks the Domination of Mercedes

BOLASPORT.COM – Red Bull Racing racer, Max Verstappen, succeeded in breaking the dominance of the Mercedes team which was strengthened by Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in the 2nd training session aka P2 in the Formula 1 (F1) racing series of the Belgian GP 2020.

F1 drivers returned to each other to record their best times in the P2 F1 Belgian GP 2020 session which took place at the Francorchamps Spa Circuit, Friday (28/8/2020).

In the 90-minute session in the humid conditions of the track, Max Verstappen managed to become the fastest racer.

Verstappen posted the fastest lap time of 1 minute 43.744 seconds after consuming a total of 21 laps.

He was 0.048 seconds ahead of Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo, who was second.

The results achieved by the Dutch racer were able to break the dominance of Mercedes which in the P1 session was able to put Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton in sequence in 1-2 positions.

In P2, Hamilton was only able to occupy the third position after consuming a total of 23 laps with his fastest lap time, 1 minute 43.840 seconds, or 0.096 slower than Verstappen.

Worse results were achieved by Bottas, who had to end the P2 F1 Belgian GP 2020 session, placing sixth with a lap time of 1 minute 44.162 seconds.

Meanwhile, unsatisfactory performances still occur in the Ferrari team.
