The most recent was a dramatic 2-1 victory in the Champions League against Juventus on Wednesday, when United had scored twice in the last four minutes. Lingard, who played in Turin for the last 20 minutes, believes that his team-mates will be for the chance to impose a defeat in the first division of the campaign on their rivals in the city
"I think those big games are what you play for," he told MUTV.
"The more pressure there is, you release that pressure, they are the games you want to be involved in, like everyone else.
"The most important thing is believing in us that we can do it, I believe in this team."
Lingard has played at all career levels of his career in Manchester Derbys, after he has passed the youth league at United, and insists that the intensity never subsides. Article below
"We always played them in all ages, and they were big games, and it was a special feeling, especially in the cups," he added.
"There was a lot of rivalry in every game right from the start, and they're with them for the first team – they were intense games as they all watched each other.
"There have always been duels at Derbys, and as a team you have to think about how to correct yourself to have a good mental state, a good mentality in the game and throughout the game." ,
