Rarely did Ligue 1 have a Saturday night two games. However, this Saturday, it was indeed the case. Brittany was spared in the succession of postponed meetings. Rennes and Guingamp were able to organize their respective match without any significant problem (facing Dijon and Amiens).

Note that Sunday, two meetings were maintained: Strasbourg-Caen (15 hours) and Lille-Reims (17 hours).

Rennes confirms its recovery

Rennes-Dijon (2-0)

With two matches in six days, Julien Stéphan was soon immersed in the bath of Ligue 1 coaches. The new technician from Rennes, son of Guy Stephan, deputy in the French team, and his men have confirmed, with some difficulty, their Nice win in Lyon, Wednesday. Facing Dijon (2-0), the Bretons ran into a very low block. And paradoxically, the Rennais have not really evolved high on the field, showing only very little danger in the first period. Back from the locker room, they took their chance, just like Bourigeaud's shot, diverted into the goal by Ciman, the Dijon defender (70th). Following the goal, the Stade Rennais exploited the defensive largesse of Dijon, and Ben Arfa came to ensure the success of the Bretons.

With this success, Rennes found the top 10, in front of ninth in Ligue 1. Dijon, winner of Caen Tuesday, relapsed and remains sixteenth.

Amiens wins duel of dunces

Guingamp-Amiens (1-2)

The evening turned to a nightmare again in Guingamp. A good last in Ligue 1, with eight points before the game, the En Avant had to win at home, against a direct competitor to maintain the 19th Amiens (1-2). But twice, the Bretons were punished on the only opportunities of Picards. First, Gnahoré, well served by Otero, gave the advantage Amiens, yet largely dominated (63rd). In the wake, Didot managed to equalize.

But the En Avant cracked late in the game, on a second acceleration of Picards and a realization of Mendoza. However, the Guingampais dominated the game (20 strikes, including 10 shots), especially in the first period, but were unrealistic, especially by Thuram. The latter was particularly scooped a red card at the end of the game.

With this success, Amiens out of the red zone and takes the 17th place of the championship. On the other hand, Guingamp gets in the last position.
