James Tomkins: "We can not underestimate Fulham"

Crystal Palace defender James Tomkins insists his team can not underestimate Fulham when the teams meet on Saturday.

The West London club has brought in players like the World Cup winner André Schürrle and midfielder Jean Michael Seriof which Palace, according to Tomkins, should be suspicious.

"They played very well with the players who signed them," the 29-year-old told reporters. "We do not know what to expect from them when they sign up to so many players, we expect a tough game, they'll make it, Fulham are back where I feel they belong, especially when I was growing up.

Of course we do not want a situation like last season without goals or points after seven games.

"What happened last season is obviously something we never want to see again."

Palace had a difficult start to the last season under the former manager Frank de Boerbut they went on to finish 11th in the table after the appointment of the current boss Roy Hodgson,
