International Football, Copa Libertadores: The first major Argentine finale of the South American Champions League has been postponed due to heavy rain. The top match scheduled for Saturday night between the Boca Juniors and River Plate from Buenos Aires will take place on Sunday (16.00 local time, 20.00 CET), as the South American Football Association Conmebol announced.
Argentina has been headfirst for days because of the first "Superclásico" of the story in the final of the Copa Libertadores. The first leg will be played in the stadium of Boca Juniors ("La Bombonera"). City derby is considered one of the hottest in the world because of its extreme rivalry. The second leg is scheduled for the 24th of November.
Formula 1, Brazil: Lewis Hamilton has secured pole position for the Formula 1 race in Brazil. Just two weeks after his fifth coronation as world champion, the Mercedes driver relegated Sebastian Vettel to second place in the Ferrari on Saturday at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace. Third in Interlagos was Hamilton's team-mate Valtteri Bottas. Vettel threatened a penalty, however, because he had weighed the scales in the pit lane when weighing the car according to official figures. The case was forwarded to the race commissioners. For Hamilton, however, it was already the 82nd pole of his career and the tenth this season.
