Eric Reid says the NFL tested him for drugs five times since his return

Reid debuted on October 7, 2018.

Panther's Security Eric Reid has tackled the drug testing policy of the NFL after beating Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

Reid played only six games in 2018 and joined the Panthers on October 7.

On Friday, Brian McCarthy from the public relations office of the NFL twittered that a computer program "randomly picks" which players are tested every week.

The drug test was Reid's second issue on Thursday night. The LSU product was ejected for a hit on Ben Roethlisberger's helmet when the experienced QB slid to the ground.

"The referees told me that I would attack him, which I do not agree with," Reid said after the game.

Reid entered the Panthers in mid-2018 after five years in San Francisco. He has an intercept this season and 36 tackles.
