Bundesliga: Bayern professional James injured his knee

Bundesliga: Bayern professional James injured his knee
  • Bayern has to do without James Rodríguez for a longer time.
  • The offensive player suffered in the training an outer band break in the left knee.
  • The injury list is thus getting longer, currently missing Kingsley Coman, Arjen Robben, Corentin Tolisso and Thiago.

Bayern Munich remains true to the injury pitch: The German football champions record has to renounce "in the next few weeks" on offensive player James. The Colombian had contracted a torn ligament in his left knee in training on Tuesday. This resulted in an investigation by club doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt.

The professional's knee was first immobilized for ten days, after which James could begin therapy and rehabilitation. About the time for a possible comeback Bayern did not provide information.

James did not play the expected supporting role under coach Niko Kovac this season. In eleven competitive matches, he scored three goals and prepared two. Reports that the loan from Real Madrid now and then attracted attention by non-discipline, the Munich have contradicted.

Coman announces his comeback

French international Kingsley Coman has promised his comeback soon. "I need two more weeks, then I'll be back," said the 22-year-old on Wednesday at a public relations meeting in Munich. Coman lacks the German record champion since the end of August.

He had in the Bundesliga kick-off against TSG Hoffenheim (3: 1) in a foul by national player Nico Schulz a syndesmoseriss. Apart from Coman and James, Kovac is currently without Arjen Robben, Corentin Tolisso and Thiago.

Sancho rejected offer of Bayern

The German record champion wanted to undertake the English talent in the summer of 2017, as the Munich announce. But Jadon Sancho chose Borussia Dortmund.
