Reiss Nelson met Hoffenheim twice on Saturday. The young Arsenal brochure can not be better than Henrikh Mkhitaryan, right? I am not for reactionary shots. Or for hot, curious opinions. Unfortunately, writing, reporting and blogging about football is full of it. I think it's the nature of the sport. People have opinions. Not all will be informed. Still, I feel like I'm asking a question that could very well be considered hot. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has had a bad season so far. Since joining Arsenal, the former Manchester United winger has been largely disappointing, with a few bright performances here and there. And it has led me to ask if he is not only worth a regular start, but also at the age of 29 years invested time and money. More from Pain in the Arsenal. Conversely, in Germany, borrowed in Hoffenheim, young Reiss Nelson is good and true and tears it apart. The right winger insisted that he was loaned out in the summer if he could not get any more in the Emirates. Unai Emery was honest with his chances when he stayed and was properly committed. Since moving to continental Europe Nelson scored in just seven games six goals for the Bundesliga. Even more impressive is that on average he only scored 51 minutes per goal. On Saturday he sat down again with a 2-1 win against Augsburg. Nelson scored the winner just two minutes after being sent home by the bench with a smart, lonely finish. Steer a rebound from the penalty area – the target looks easier than it is. It was a sensational start to the season for Nelson. He has shown his qualities throughout the year, and as Arsenal's wing problems persist, especially because of Mkhitaryan's problems, there are some who have called for Nelson to be withdrawn from his loan. Do you want to hear your voice? Join the Pain In The Arsenal team! Write us! I am not ready to present this argument yet. We are still dealing with a very small sample size here, and it would be extremely reactionary to suggest that Nelson is better than Mkhitaryan because of some successful games compared to a full career of productive play Form Nelson is present and what difficulties Mkhitaryan has. I think it's still a bit too short to point out that Nelson is better than Mkhitaryan. Next: Arsenal vs. Wolves: Expected starting eleven. But given the age difference between the two and the potential of the Hale End alumni, it may be better to invest now in what is not currently North London.
