LALIGA & RTVE: Decade-Long Deal Revived | EA SPORTS

The First Division football league returns, ten years later, to RTVE. Thanks to an agreement with DAZNthe Corporation will reissue the LALIGA EA SPORTS: Every day, fans will be able to watch the only open match on Teledeporte.

The offer will start with the start of the second round of the competition. It will be this Friday, January 16, at 9:00 p.m., with the Catalan duel between RCD Espanyol-Girona FC.

The following two matches for the next few days are also already confirmed: Levante UD – Elche CFcorresponding to day 21; and the RCD Mallorca – Sevilla FCfrom matchday 22.

With this agreement, RTVE reinforces its commitment to open sports and consolidates Teledeporte as a reference thematic channel, becoming the home of LALIGA EA SPORTS teams that do not participate in European competitions.

Clubs like Sevilla FC, Real Sociedad, RCD Espanyol, RCD Mallorca, CA Osasuna or Deportivo Alavésas well as those who will join once their continental participation ends —Athletic Club, Villarreal CF, Real Betis Balompié, RC Celta de Vigo and Rayo Vallecano—, will have their new home in Teledeporte.

RTVE has a long tradition in broadcasting First Division football. La Liga matches began to be broadcast in 1963 and, for decades, offered a weekly match until the 1989-90 season. The competition returned in the 2015-16 season and, from now on, returns stably through the Teledeporte window.

In this way, Teledeporte reinforces its programming with quality content and public service, bringing all fans closer to the free and open football.
