Honduras.- The National University of the Police of Honduras (UNPH), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Judo Federation of Honduras, held Judo workshops in the Police Education System (SEP).
During this initiative, students from different UNPH study centers had the opportunity to learn basic judo techniques, promoting not only physical development, but also the incorporation of values associated with this discipline, such as respect, discipline and self-control.

The workshop had the notable participation of the world judo runner-up, Ryu Shichinohe, who visited: the Police Technical Institute, the National Police Academy and the UNPH headquarters in Tegucigalpa.
This activity also served as an extension of Japanese culture, introducing students to this traditional martial art as part of the cultural exchange between Japan and Honduras.

The Consul of Japan in Honduras, Katsuhiro Yamaguchi, was present at the UNPH headquarters and expressed his satisfaction with the development of the workshop, thanking the collaboration of the National Police in this initiative.
This alliance strengthens ties between Japan and Honduras, while promoting judo as a tool for the personal and professional growth of SEP students.
In addition, it highlights the importance of international cooperation to promote activities that transcend sports and enrich the comprehensive training of future police leaders.
The event represents a significant step in the integration of judo within the police education system, with a view to continuing to strengthen the bilateral relationship between both countries.
