On the second and third days of competition, the men’s age groups M1, M2, M4 and M5 will be at the start. The German athletes won two silver and two bronze medals as well as fifth place.
Heiko Koch wins four fighters in the M5 up to 90 kg class and is therefore in the final. There he has to bow to the British Shaun Mark Mutty with Waza-ari and wins silver.
In class M5 up to 100 kg wins Robert Krause three fights and is therefore also in the final. He loses this last world championship fight against the Canadian Ahmed Hellel Cherrak and becomes runner-up world champion.
Hubert Swiech starts in class M4 up to 60 kg. With an opening win he is in the semi-finals, but has to bow to the Brazilian Kristian Cezario and then wins the fight for bronze.
Also Jens-Peter Bischof wins bronze. In the M5 over 100 kg class he lost his opening fight, but made it to the consolation round and won all three fights there, thus securing the bronze medal.
On the second day of competition Luke Stadler fifth in class M1 up to 60 kg.
On today’s last day of competition, the women and the M2 class start for the men. The medal decisions will take place in the second half of the night. The time difference to Las Vegas is nine hours.
