In the latest episode of Sport Club’s show “Gegenpressing”, the legendary former national team player Josip ‘Joe’ Šimunić was a guest.
He opened the show with a comment on Dinamo’s two consecutive victories in the Champions League, emphasizing how the club has returned to form despite the challenges:
“Excellent, excellent… After all the problems that Dinamo had, from the change of coach to the difficulties in the HNL, they came back great. Even in the match against Monaco they could have won, but they failed. Still, kudos to them. They are now in a great position, with two home games ahead of them. With at least one victory, Dinamo could go further in the Champions League.”
Šimunić also briefly commented on Dinamo’s next opponent:
“Celtic is always difficult, although they had their problems, but they also came back. Dinamo has a historic opportunity, and not only for them, but also for Croatian football, this would be a great success. I hope he continues to play well.”
