The Auria Badminton Club competition team began the month of November by traveling to the island of Tenerife and participating in the TOP TTR El Rosario. The tournament organized by the CB Tenzul El Rosario and which took place in the facilities of the Leticia Batista Pavilion, had the participation of 12 players from the Auria Badminton Club, and who won a total of three medals, highlighting the gold won by Jacob López and Álvaro Guadalupe in the men’s doubles of the under-11 category.

The Auria Badminton Club expedition that traveled this past weekend to the island of Tenerife was made up of Adrián Carabali, Graciela Müggler, Martina Negrín, Jacob López, Álvaro Guadalupe, Greta Duarte, Valeria Ramón, José Antonio Hernández, Sofía Gómez, Hugo de la Paz Paradas, Isaac Rincón and Rubén Jorge. A tournament in which Jorge Oliverio Pérez and Oliver Gausmann acted as coaches.

The couple formed by Álvaro Guadalupe and Jacob López rose to the top of the podium in the men’s doubles of the under-11 category. The Auria Bádminton Club players won both matches played, beating their club mates Hugo De la Paz Paradas – Isaac Rincón (15-4, 15-2), and Ángel Ancor González – Izán Mouriño (15-7, 15-2). 10).

Jacob López, a player who started as the number 2 seed in the tournament, won bronze in the under-11 category. In the group stage they beat Gael González (15-6, 15-10), Mateo Velázquez (15-7, 15-13) and Manuel Cabrera (15-11, 9-15, 15-13). Their participation concluded in the semifinal round, falling in an even match against Izán Mouriño (9-15, 15-13, 13-15).

The medal table of the Auria Bádminton Club in the TOP TTR El Rosario was completed with the bronze achieved by Graciela Müggler and Martina Negrín in the women’s doubles modality in the under-19 category. In the group stage they beat Miriam Cabrera – Kristina Schevchenko (21-5, 21-16) and Irene Méndez – Alma Socas (21-15, 21-19). And in the semifinals they were defeated against Judith García – Paula Gutiérrez (15-21, 18-21).
