Morgan Riddle is actually always at the side of friend and tennis star Taylor Fritz (ATP 4). The 27-year-old is almost always in the stands at the American’s tournaments. But last weekend she attended the GP Las Vegas alone. In retrospect, Fritz is probably glad that he wasn’t there for the racing spectacle.
Because her friend Riddle completely fell flat after that, the norovirus put the American out of action. She shared this with her 415,000 Insta followers. “For the last 48 hours I have been fighting for my life,” said Riddle. She added that she wouldn’t wish norovirus on her worst enemy.
Fritz sends gifts
Fritz, who is already preparing for the new season in Miami, tried his best to support his girlfriend from afar. The 27-year-old sent his sick girlfriend a bouquet of flowers. He wrote: “Hope you feel better soon, baby.”
Along with the flowers, he also sent Riddle a sweater with the words: My tummy hurts but I’m being really brave about it. In German: My stomach hurts, but I’m doing it bravely. In her story, Riddle made a little fun of the gift, but wrote: “Today was a good time to wear it.”
Norovirus an Thanksgiving
The timing of the illness is particularly bitter for Riddle. Because in the USA, Thanksgiving, probably the most important holiday of the year, was on Thursday. The 27-year-old said she would probably skip the festivities this year. She couldn’t stay awake for more than 45 minutes at a time. And when she sleeps, she has strange dreams. Won’t eat Thanksgiving foods. So no turkey for the model this year.
In her story, she still wished her fans a happy holiday. She attached a picture of herself with an infusion to the wishes. While Riddle recovers from her illness, friend Fritz can look back on a strong season.
Burglary attempt in London
Thanks to his strong form, he reached world number four for the first time in his career. At the ATP Finals at the beginning of November he even made it to the final, but had to admit defeat to world number one, Jannik Sinner. Fritz didn’t go as well at the tournament in Paris-Bery. He left early and used the free time for a short vacation with Riddle in London.
Instead of relaxing days, however, there was a real moment of shock for the two of them on Saturday night. An attempt was made to break into the tennis dream couple. However, the attempt failed and the two escaped with horror.
