The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced that Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup received a rating of 419.8 out of 500, which is the highest technical rating granted by the International Federation in history to a bid submitted to host the World Cup.
The announcement of the technical evaluation of the 2030 and 2034 World Cup bids comes in preparation for the decision to choose the host countries for the two tournaments through the General Assembly of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) on December 11 of this year.
Last October, the official delegation of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) conducted its inspection tour to find out the details of Saudi Arabia’s candidacy to host the World Football Forum, where it visited the cities hosting the tournament, the projects and sports facilities included in the hosting file, and was informed of the comprehensive plans and all future preparations for hosting. The head of the candidacy file unit, Hammad Al-Balawi, said that the Saudi candidacy file offers 5 host cities with various cultural and urban stamps that help fans and football fans explore specific cultures and experiences in various regions of Saudi Arabia, in addition to 10 other hosting sites that contribute to enhancing the experience of the participating teams through training camps and facilities. Saudi Arabia officially submitted its candidacy file to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup last July under the slogan “Together We Grow,” in which it revealed its plans to host the most important tournament in the world of football in 15 stadiums distributed over 5 host cities, “Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Khobar, Abha, and NEOM,” in addition to 10 other hosting sites across Saudi Arabia.
