Camps, who is facing his first season at Tizona, is a coach with extensive experience in the lower categories of the Spanish Basketball Federation. With this, he will join Sergio Scariolo‘s technical team in the FIBA Windows and the rest of future championships.
The Tizona coach has been linked to the FEB since 2015 in its different training categories. The previous summer he was the U20 Coach, also coinciding with Tizona forward Jordi Rodríguez, with whom he played in the European Championship in Poland last July.
In 2021, he also began working with the Absolute as an Assistant Coach in preparation prior to the Tokyo Olympic Games, a job that he has continued to do in recent years. Last February, in fact, he already coincided with Jordi Rodríguez and Mario Saint-Supéry, then a Tizona player, in preparation for the FIBA Windows.
Now, Camps increases its work in the staff from Sergio Scariolo, going from assisting during the preparations, to now being an Assistant Coach throughout the process, and traveling with the national team to the different tournaments that will be played from now on.
At Tizona we are deeply proud that our first coach, Salva Camps, is called by the Spanish National Team, demonstrating once again that the Tizona Brand continues to bring great news to Spanish basketball.
