Magic with a chance at the NBA Cup

With another strong performance, Franz Wagner kept the Orlando Magic’s chance of an early title open this season. In the 123:100 win against the Brooklyn Nets, the basketball world champion recorded 29 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds. The Magic got their third win in the third game, which counts towards the NBA Cup. This competition, which was held for the first time last season, will be decided in December with a mini-tournament in Las Vegas. The Magic are at the top of their group with three wins and can complete their trip to Vegas with a win on Tuesday against the New York Knicks.

The success was already the eleventh victory from the last twelve NBA games. In addition to Franz Wagner, NBA newcomer Tristan Da Silva, who scored 13 points, also impressed. First of all, he was more successful. Moritz Wagner only scored one of his four attempts and scored three points against the Nets, where world champion captain Dennis Schröder was missing for personal reasons. Schröder is the most successful thrower on average for the Nets this season, who no longer have a chance of winning the NBA Cup.
